Welcome Bienvenue to The Chamber

Dear members,

As we enter 2017, I thank you once again for your continued support. 2017 is shaping up to another great year for business in our region!

Looking back on 2016, The Chamber achieved many successes including the hosting of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Canadian Senate on multiple occasions. We also welcomed several distinguished speakers including Premier Brad Wall, Premier Brian Gallant, Annette Verschuren, The Honourable Perrin Beatty and The Honourable Gary Doer, among many others.

This year, The Chamber is looking forward to hosting a “Canada 150” celebration dinner that will celebrate the 150 th anniversary of three Saint John Businesses that were formed back in 1867 – Moosehead Breweries, Source Atlantic and G. E. Barbour. This celebratory event will be held in conjunction with The Chamber AGM in May 2017.

Our region has so much to offer, and presents many great opportunities. We have recently launched our annual member survey, from which data is collected and will be used to determine advocacy priorities and identify issues that are top of mind. Upon receipt, I encourage everyone to complete the survey and let your views and priorities be known.

We have many exciting initiatives and events planned for 2017 such as our Distinguished Speaker Series, Annual Golf Tournament, East Coast Energy Connection, Outstanding Business Awards and of course, our monthly business mixers.

We are looking forward to another successful year in partnering with our members in celebrating, supporting and encouraging business in our region.
